Georgia to Open SEC Play at Home Against Arkansas

NOTES
ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia soccer will open Southeastern Conference action on Thursday, September 13 at 7 p.m. when the Arkansas Razorbacks come to Athens.
The Bulldogs play their final non-conference game against Murray State on Sunday, September 16 at 1 p.m. at the Turner Soccer Complex.
Arkansas Series History
» The Bulldogs and Razorbacks did not meet in 2017. Arkansas won the last two contests between the teams, both ending in a final score of 2-1.
» This marks the first time Georgia has opened SEC play against Arkansas since 1996.
Murray State Series History: Another First
This is the first time in program history that the Bulldogs will face Murray State. The Bulldogs have played four other first-time opponents this season, including Georgetown, San Diego, Indiana, and Purdue going 1-2-1 against those teams.

Two goals from sophomore Reagan Glisson led Georgia to a shutout victory over the Georgia State Panthers (2-4-1), 2-0, on Friday night at the Turner Soccer Complex.
Georgia took the lead nine minutes into the game after freshman Abby Boyan tapped the ball to Glisson for the finish from outside the box.
Glisson notched the second goal after a slide tackle in the box awarded the Bulldogs with a penalty kick opportunity, allowing the Savannah native to boot the ball to the back of the net for the 2-0 cushion.
Georgia dropped a 2-1 decision to Kennesaw State (7-1) on Sunday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
Sophomore Delaney Erwin scored the equalizer early in the second half but it was not enough to lift the Bulldogs over the Owls.
Sophomore Jessie Denney earned her first start as a Bulldog against Kennesaw State. The Naperville, Illinois native scored her first goal against Charlotte and has taken six shots.
