ATHENS, Ga.--- University of Georgia junior gymnast Gracie Cherrey of Woodbury, Minnesota will retire from the sport of gymnastics.Â
Â
Cherrey competed consistently on bars and four times on beam as a freshman before missing her sophomore season due to an ankle injury.
Â
"Although Gracie will no longer be competing as a GymDog, we look forward to her contributing to our team in many other ways," head coach Courtney Kupets Carter said. "Her bubbly personality and contagious smile brings joy to the gym and we will continue to support her in her transition of life after gymnastics."
