ATHENS, Ga. --- Fans entering the Sanford Stadium on Sept. 4 for the home opener will have even more to be excited about with several additions made to the Sanford Stadium concessions since last season.

"We're excited about the changes made to our game day concessions and feel like they will enhance our fans' experience at Sanford Stadium," UGA Director of Marketing John Bateman said.

The newly renovated Reed Plaza will have a total of 24 new points of sale offered to fans. "Facility-wise, we feel like the renovation of Reed Plaza will provide our fans, specifically on the north side and east end of the stadium, with a great experience that includes an expanded menu and more points of sale," Bateman said.

The updated menu items will include a "Top Your Dog" stand with a variety of toppings for fans to customize their hotdog to their personal preference. For fans with a sweet tooth, there are many new choices including fried Oreos and Twinkies and topped funnel cakes. Also offered at the Reed Plaza will be hamburgers, chicken fingers and French fries.

Returning as partners of the Sanford Stadium concessions will be Domino's and Subway. These fan favorites will be available at selected stands in all levels of the stadium. A new partner to Sanford Stadium concessions will be Pearly Sweets, available at the Gate 7 Plaza, which offers ice cream, smoothies and features Gelato, their most popular treat.

Other newcomers to the Sanford Stadium concessions partners include southern-favorite Sonny's BBQ. Offering a range of options such as pulled pork, BBQ chicken and many others, Sonny's BBQ will be available in the Gate 7 Plaza and the West End lower level.

"Through our partnership with Georgia Sports Properties, we've been able to bring in outside vendors such as Sonny's Barbeque, Subway and Domino's that will be available throughout the stadium and also Oscar Mayer as our official stadium hot dog," Bateman said.

To offer a speedier service to fans, Express Menu stands will now be featured near Sections 111 and 131. Offering a limited menu including fountain Coke beverages, bottled water, hot dogs and peanuts, these full-service stands will enhance the speed of service as well as limit congestion in these areas of the concourse.

Also adding to speed of service, credit card machines have been installed at selected concessions stands on all levels of the stadium.

"Working with our concessions partner, Aramark, we've taken several steps to enhance our speed of service in hopes of getting our fans back to their seats as quick as possible," Bateman said.
