ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia softball head coach Lu Harris-Champer has announced that Katelyn Fuller of Cusseta, Ala., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Bulldogs beginning in 2014-15.

“Katelyn has worked hard to become a strong player that can play multiple positions,” Harris-Champer said. “She has trained under some of the top coaches in the nation, including Ernie Yarborough of the Georgia Power Academy and west coast instructors Norm Perez, Jorge Araujp and Tony Rico.”

A three-time first team all-state selection, Fuller played for Head Coach Alex Waldroup at the Springwood School. She was again a member of all-state first team and was named the region tournament MVP, as well as Springwood’s Best Defensive Player. In her junior year, Fuller was named Springwood’s Best Offensive Player, was selected to the all-state first team for a third time, earned region tournament MVP honors for a second time and played in the all-star game for juniors and seniors.

As a member of Georgia Power Academy, Fuller played in the ASA National Tournament following her freshman year and was a member of the Worth Firecrackers. Following her sophomore season, she played in the uncommitted player game in the Boulder Independence Day tournament. She was also a member of the Worth Firecrackers and the So Cal Athletics in the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Tournament. As a junior, she played with the Georgia Impact Pauly and played in the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Tournament.

Fuller is the daughter of Tanya Fuller and the late Neil Fuller.
