ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia sophomore Amira Alexander was tabbed the Southeastern Conference's Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Alexander completed the best performance of her collegiate career. She recorded career-low scores of 71 and 70 in the first and third rounds of the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate en route to a 54-hole tally of 2-under 214.
Alexander finished in a three-way tie atop the individual leaderboard before falling on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff for the individual crown. The sophomore from Alpharetta birdied two of her final three holes to secure a spot in that playoff.
