ATHENS, Ga. ----- The ninth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs conducted a 75-minute workout in jerseys, shorts and helmets Thursday in their final practice of the week.
With an open date Saturday, the Bulldogs (1-1, 1-0 SEC) will not practice again until Monday. Georgia's first two games this year came against teams ranked in the top 10.
The Bulldogs dropped a 38-35 shootout on the road to eighth-ranked Clemson to open the season and then bounced back with an impressive 41-30 victory over sixth-ranked South Carolina last Saturday in Athens.
"We got done what we needed to do this week, and we're looking forward to playing ball again next week," said Georgia coach Mark Richt.
Georgia returns to action when it plays host to North Texas on Sept 21. SEC TV will broadcast the contest nationally, with kickoff schedule for 12:21 p.m. ET.
North Texas (1-1) faces Ball State this Saturday in Denton, Texas.
