Head Coach Wayne Norton announced the singing of Reggie Glover on Thursday.
July 11, 2013
Glover clocked the fastest 400-meter dash time in the nation this year at the Brian Jaeger Elite Classic in April, posting a 46.46 mark. Along with that time, Glover holds school records in the 100 and 200, and won FHSAA AAAA state titles in the 400 and 4x400 relay.
“Reggie is an SEC-level talent on the track, and he should make an early impact for us,” Stuart said. “He has excellent range which will benefit both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. We are excited to have a sprinter with Reggie’s talent joining our team.”
Glover spoke to DistancePreps.com in April at the Brian Jaeger Elite Classic and while he had yet to sign with Georgia at that point, he was already enthusiastic about joining the Bulldogs.
“I like Georgia because it feels like a hometown. They treat me like family,” Glover said. “They’re always asking for my Mom and they talk to her. I like Georgia because they treat me like they want me there.”
