REQUIREMENTS FOR ORDERING FOOTBALL TICKETS ONLINE:
FOOTBALL TICKET REGISTRATION DAY ALL UGA STUDENTS:
- An online ticket application must be created for each student based on data received from the University. The Athletic Association cannot create an application until we receive this information. Students will receive an email from the Athletic Association when it is time for them to register.
- Students must be registered for classes by August 21st at 5:00 p.m. to have an online application. (See below for student ticket registration dates and times.)
- In order to maintain their student ticket priority, all UGA undergraduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours at the conclusion of the 2015 spring and fall semester drop/add period. Undergraduate students taking less than 12 hours are eligible to make a request for tickets but will fall to the bottom in the student ticket priority system. Depending upon demand, students with less than 12 hours may not be reached in the student ticket priority system.
- In the event ticket demand exceeds supply, a random lottery may be required.
- Student athletic fees, along with tuition, MUST be paid through the Bursar's Office by 5 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015. If athletic fees are waived, you will be ineligible for football tickets. For questions regarding the payment of student athletic fees, contact the Bursar's Office at 706-542-1625. The Athletic Association does not accept payment of individual fees.
- Students must have a valid-most recent UGA Student ID Card. Old ID's (without the most current issue level) will NOT be accepted at the stadium gates on game day. Students MUST enter in Gate 1, Gate 3 or Gate 4A.
- Students will need a MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit/debit card to purchase tickets. If the student does not have a card in their name, they may use the card of a parent/guardian with parent/guardian permission. You will be asked to enter the billing address of the credit/debit card and your mailing address. If a student doesn't have access to the method of payment options cited above, they may call the Main Ticket Office at 706-542-1231.
Home Season and Away Game Ticket Registration Begins: Monday, August 3, at Noon
Home Season and Away Game Ticket Registration Ends: Tuesday, August 25, at Noon
All UGA students will register for season tickets online during the time period allotted (outlined above). As a new student (incoming freshmen, transfer students and graduate students who are new to UGA), your first opportunity to register for football student season tickets will be dependent on the date you register for classes. Each student will receive an email to their student email account when it is time to register. After you place your request, you will NOT be able to go back and add/change your order. Do NOT close your browser until you reach the confirmation page which thanks you for your request. After you reach the confirmation page, remember to sign out of your account and close your browser. If you do not receive an email confirmation of your request, your registration is incomplete and you must repeat the registration process. Once all season ticket requests have been made, the Athletic Association Ticket Office will sort requests based on cumulative credit hours earned. Transfer hours earned will not be factored in for UGA football tickets. Study abroad credits will only be factored in if they are earned through UGA. Tickets will be awarded based on cumulative credit hours earned and not based on the date you request tickets. In the event ticket demand exceeds supply, a random lottery may be required. All credit/debit card payments for home and away tickets will be processed on August 25th through August 26th. Prior to this date students should make sure that they have sufficient funds in their account to cover the ticket balance due for all tickets requested. Students are responsible for payment on all requested/eligible tickets.
The student ticket registration period for students will end promptly at 12 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Students eligible to register during this time period will NOT have a second chance to place an order for football tickets once this deadline has expired.
UGA UNDERGRADUATES RETURNING TO GRADUATE SCHOOL
UGA undergraduate students completing their degree at the conclusion of the 2015 spring semester and returning to graduate school in the fall will register for season tickets during the outlined student registration period (see times & dates outlined above). The credit hours earned during undergraduate years at UGA will NOT factor into the football student ticket process. Graduate students taking less than 9 hours (full-time status) are eligible to make a request for tickets but will fall to the bottom in the student ticket priority system. Depending upon demand, students with less than 9 hours may not be reached in the student ticket priority system. Student athletic fees must be paid through the UGA Bursar's Office before graduate students are eligible for tickets.
NEW GRADUATE STUDENTS
New graduate students (first semester at UGA will be the 2015 fall semester) MUST be registered for a minimum of 9 credit hours by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015. Tickets will be awarded based on availability once all requests have been made. If a graduate student is not registered by this deadline, he/she will NOT be eligible to request season football tickets online. Graduate students taking less than 9 hours (full-time status) are eligible to make a request for tickets but will fall to the bottom in the student ticket priority system. Depending upon demand, students with less than 9 hours may not be reached in the student ticket priority system. Student athletic fees must be paid through the UGA Bursar's Office before graduate students are eligible.
FOOTBALL ROAD GAME INFORMATION FOR UGA STUDENTS
UGA students will be eligible to register for 2015 road game tickets following the same registration schedule used for requesting home game season tickets. Once a student logs into the ticketing system during the registration period, all eligible ticket options will be displayed for both home & away football games. For the purchasing process, credit/debit cards will not be charged for home and away tickets until the student demand for road tickets and ticket availability is determined by the Athletic Association.
All orders for home and away tickets will be processed on August 25th through August 27th. Prior to this date, students should make sure that they have sufficient funds in their account to cover the ticket balance due for all tickets requested. Students are responsible for payment on all requested/eligible tickets. The assignment of road game tickets will be based on seniority or credit hours earned at UGA. Students will receive an email at the address registered on their ticket account confirming the designation of away tickets (both recipients and non-recipients of away game tickets will receive an email from the Athletic Association).
Eligibility requirements for requesting road game tickets are the same as for requesting home game season tickets. Please reference the requirements under the "Requirements for Ordering Online." Once all requests have been made, the Athletic Association Ticket Office will sort requests based on cumulative credit hours earned. Transfer hours earned will not be factored in for UGA football tickets. Study abroad credits will only be factored in if they are earned through UGA.
PICK-UP DATES FOR AWAY FOOTBALL GAME TICKETS
Each UGA student making an online ticket request for Georgia road games will receive an email by August 27th informing them of their day & time to claim tickets that were awarded. Please be sure to check your email account for day(s) & time(s) to claim tickets. Tickets are distributed randomly and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pickup Guidelines: Students will be allowed to pickup away game tickets for themselves and 3 other people (maximum of four IDs can be carried by one student). Therefore, if a student cannot pickup his/her own tickets due to a conflict with the pick-up dates/times, a friend will have the opportunity to claim the tickets on that student's behalf. Students picking up away game tickets for a friend will need the UGA Student ID of that person to claim the tickets. If the student is unable to bring the actual Student ID of the other student, a front and back photocopy of the student's ID (with ID number) and driver's license will suffice (BOTH are needed if using a photocopy of ID to claim tickets). No photocopies will be accepted at the stadium gates on game day!

PENALTIES AND TICKET DONATION/DESIGNATION:
The Student Football Ticket penalty system is operated through a point scale. An unused ticket on a student account will result in a one point penalty "strike." Three strikes in a given season deem that student ineligible for post-season tickets (SEC Championship and bowl tickets) and the following season's tickets. Post-season tickets will be determined by UGA cumulative hours earned and strikes received during the season. Students should confirm their ID was properly scanned when entering the gates at the stadium.
PASSED BY THE UGA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Priority for post-season tickets will be based first on attendance and then on seniority.
AMENDED POLICY 8-31-2015
Students may login to the following site to see what home games they were awarded and donate tickets to games they are unable to attend. Students who donate a ticket to a game they are unable to attend will NOT be given a "strike" for that game. Please login using your UGA MYID and password. SOUTH CAROLINA AND ALABAMA GAMES ONLY
After discussions with campus partners, including SGA and athletic staff, over concerns of illegal, excessive abuse of ticket privileges and ticket scalping, it was determined that UGA students would not be permitted to directly donate their ticket privileges to another UGA student for the Alabama and South Carolina games.
Based on these discussions, it was determined that tickets can only be donated to a pool for those students who did not receive tickets to a game originally. The decision was made to best serve those students who were not awarded these games through the lottery. This policy only affects the student ticketing for Alabama and South Carolina and is a result of the lottery system implemented.
Students who did not receive tickets for select games including South Carolina or Alabama must opt in the donation pool to be eligible for a donated ticket.
To Avoid Penalties
Students are encouraged to use all of their student football tickets. If you are unable to attend one or more of the games to which you've been awarded a ticket, you can donate those tickets back to the Georgia Ticket Office or donate directly to an eligible student using their student ID number for Louisiana-Monroe, Southern University, Missouri, Kentucky and Georgia Southern. You will not be refunded for donated tickets. Once a student ticket is donated, students cannot receive another ticket or get a donated ticket back.
Students have until 11:59 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the game to donate a ticket to the Georgia Ticket Office or to another student. Students receiving a donated ticket directly from another student must accept that ticket by 11:59 p.m. the Wednesday leading up to the game.
Students who missed the ticket request period are eligible to receive a donated ticket directly from another student excluding South Carolina and Alabama or opt in the donation pool. If you accept a donated ticket from another student, you must use the ticket in order to avoid a strike.
ENTRANCE INTO SANFORD STADIUM
A University of Georgia Student ID Card is REQUIRED for entrance into all games played at Sanford Stadium. Students without their valid-most recent UGA Student ID will be turned away from the gates at Sanford Stadium. No driver's licenses or student schedules will be accepted at the gate. Student IDs from other colleges/universities will NOT be accepted with a UGA student football ticket. Only current UGA Student IDs will be accepted!
Invalid student ID cards will be confiscated at the gate. Also, IDs will be confiscated from students attempting to pass ID cards out of the stadium to another student. Students caught engaging in this behavior will run the risk of losing the privilege to purchase student tickets to future athletic events.
Students MUST enter in Gate 1, Gate 3 or Gate 4A. If you enter any other gate on game day, your ID will not be scanned and your attendance will not be recorded. Wristbands for the 100 Level seating locations will be distributed at the entry gates. See map for these gate locations and corresponding seating locations. (Map)
Students are encouraged to support the team by entering Sanford Stadium EARLY! Gates will open at least 90 minutes prior to the game. Students waiting to enter the stadium at the last minute will encounter lines at the gate and will run the risk of missing kick-off. There is NO re-entry into Sanford Stadium.
- For students wanting to sit in the 100 Level seats by the band (Sections 109-114), you must enter Gate 3.
- For students wanting to sit in the 100 Level seats in the West end zone (under the videoboard), you must enter Gate 1.
- For students wanting to sit in the 300 Level seats (Sections 307-313), enter Gate 4A.
UGA ID CARD
Student tickets will be inscribed on your valid-most recent UGA ID. There will be no physical tickets for home games. The student is responsible for checking the validity of the ID prior to game day. By checking your card, you are determining that your card is readable, that a ticket has been purchased by that cardholder that it is the current card, and the cardholder is enrolled for Fall. Students may check their ID cards at the UGACard Office or Bulldog Bucks Office.
Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure that you bring your current student ID. The magnetic stripe must be in good condition. Your valid-most recent UGA student ID is required for admittance to games-NO EXCEPTIONS.
If an ID card is lost or stolen, a new card can be obtained from the UGACard Office located in Room 309 at the Tate Student Center. ID cards are issued Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30 p.m. UGACard Office is closed on Saturdays!
Any questions regarding Student ID cards can be directed to the UGACard Office at (706) 542-9226 or visit uga.edu/ugacard for more information.
The Ticket Office is not responsible for tickets or ID's that are lost, stolen or destroyed. Questions about ticket pricing, ticket availability or general ticket information should be addressed to the UGA Athletic Association Ticket Office at (706) 542-1231. You must have your student ID number when calling. Seating in the student sections are general admission. (See student sections below):
138 to 143, 109 to 114, 307 to upper 313 Students MUST enter in Gate 1, Gate 3 or Gate 4A.
IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION:
All students must present their UGA student ID for admission to Sanford Stadium. Any attempt at fraudulent admission or use of student ID could result in disciplinary action from the university or local authorities. The UGACard Office is located in the Tate Center if you need to replace lost, stolen or damaged ID cards. The Athletic Department will communicate with students as needed through their university-issued email addresses. Please watch your email accounts for important messages from the Athletic Department as well as other campus offices.
Due to the demand for Georgia Football student tickets, student dependents (spouse & children of UGA students) are NOT eligible to register for student football tickets. This is in an effort to accommodate as many UGA students as possible with student tickets. If a married student is working and cannot pick-up his/her out of town tickets on the dates provided, a student's spouse is eligible to claim the tickets with proper identification. The spouse will need the UGA Student ID card of the student and proper identification to pick-up the tickets.
The UGAA will make reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities who are registered for less than full time credit hours due to their disability. Companion tickets are available for students with disabilities. Students are encouraged to contact the Ticket Office for questions and additional information (706) 542-1231.
