REQUIREMENTS FOR ORDERING FOOTBALL TICKETS ONLINE:
- An online ticket application must be created for each student based on data received from the University.
- Students must register for classes by August 18th at noon to have an online application.
- In order to maintain their student ticket priority, all UGA undergraduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours at the conclusion of the 2011 spring and fall semester drop/add period. Undergraduate students taking less than 12 hours are eligible to make a request for tickets but will fall below the status of new freshmen. Depending upon demand, students with less than 12 hours may not be reached in the student ticket priority system. Ticket packages may be split in order to accommodate as many students as possible.
Graduate students enrolled full-time (9 hrs) will also maintain their student ticket priority and every effort will be made to accommodate as many students a possible. Depending upon demand, graduate students that are less than full-time status may not be reached in the student ticket priority system.
- Student activity fees, along with tuition, MUST be paid through the Bursar's Office by 5pm on Friday, August 19, 2011. For questions regarding the payment of student activity fees, contact the Bursar's Office at 706-542-1625. The Athletic Association does not accept payment of individual fees. The entire fee package must be paid through the Bursar's Office to be eligible for student tickets.
- Students must have a valid UGA Student ID Card. Old ID's (without the most current issue level) will NOT be accepted at the stadium gates on game day). Students MUST enter in Gate 1, Gate 3 or Gate 4A.
- Students will need a MasterCard or Visa credit/debit card to purchase tickets. If the student does not have a card in their name, they may use the card of a parent/guardian with parent/guardian permission. If a student doesn't have access to the method of payment options cited above, they may call the Main Ticket Office at 706-542-1231.
FOOTBALL TICKET REGISTRATION DAY ALL UGA STUDENTS:
Home Season Ticket Registration Begins: Monday, August 1, at Noon
Home Season Ticket Registration Ends: Friday, August 19, at Noon
All UGA students will register for season tickets online during the time period allotted (outlined above). As a new student (incoming freshmen, transfer students, & graduate students who are new to UGA), your first opportunity to register for football student season tickets will be dependent on the date you register for classes. After you place your request, you will NOT be able to go back and add to your order. Once all season ticket requests have been made, the Athletic Association Ticket Office will sort requests based on UGA credit hours earned. Transfer hours and AP credits earned will not be factored in for UGA football tickets. Study abroad credits will only be factored in if they are earned through UGA.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:
The student ticket registration period for students will end promptly at 12pm (noon) on Friday, August 19, 2011. Students eligible to register during this time period will NOT have a second chance to place an order for football tickets once this deadline has expired.
If the season ticket demand by students exceeds the number of full season packages available, the packages may be split in order to accommodate as many students as possible with tickets to at least 3 home games. If ticket packages have to be split, students will only be charged for tickets ($8 per game) to the games they receive when their online request is processed.
If season ticket packages have to be split in order to accommodate demand, priority for full season packages will be based on UGA credit hours earned.
UGA UNDERGRADUATES RETURNING TO GRADUATE SCHOOL
UGA undergraduate students completing their degree at the conclusion of the 2011 spring semester and returning to graduate school in the fall will register for season tickets during the outlined student registration period (see times & dates outlined above). The credit hours earned during undergraduate years at UGA will factor in to the football student ticket process. Graduate students taking less than 9 hours (full-time status) are eligible to make a request for tickets but will fall below the status of new freshmen. Depending upon demand, students with less than 9 hours may not be reached in the student ticket priority system. Ticket packages may be split in order to accommodate as many students as possible. Student activity fees must be paid through the UGA Bursar's Office before graduate students are eligible for tickets.
NEW GRADUATE STUDENTS
New graduate students (first semester at UGA will be the 2011 fall semester) MUST be registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours by 5:00pm on Monday, August 15, 2011. Tickets will be awarded based on availability once all requests have been made. If a graduate student is not registered by this deadline, he/she will NOT be eligible to request season football tickets online beginning on August 15th. Student activity fees must be paid through the UGA Bursar's Office before graduate students are eligible.
NEW FOR 2011
PENALTIES AND TICKET DONATION/DESIGNATION:
Penalties:
The 2011 student football ticket penalty system is operated through a point scale. An unused ticket on a student account will result in a one point penalty "strike." Three strikes in a given season deem that student ineligible for post season tickets (SEC Championship and bowl tickets) and the following season's tickets.
Ticket Donation/Designation:
Students may login to the following site to see what home games they were awarded and donate or designate tickets to games they are unable to attend. Students who donate or designate a ticket to a game they are unable to attend will NOT be given a "strike" for that game. Please login using your UGA MYID and password.
Visit: https://www.cardservices.uga.edu/TicketDonations/index.php
To Avoid Penalties:
Students are encouraged to use all of their student football tickets. If you are unable to attend one or more of the games to which you've been awarded a ticket, you can donate those tickets back to the ticket pool or donate directly to an eligible student using their student ID number. You will not be refunded for donated tickets. Students have until 12:00 noon the Wednesday leading up to the game to donate a ticket to the pool or to another student. Students receiving a donated ticket directly from another student must accept that ticket by 12:00 noon the Wednesday leading up to the game. Students who are awarded a donated ticket from the pool will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on that Thursday.
UGA ID CARD
Student tickets will be inscribed on your valid UGA ID. There will be no physical tickets for home games. The student is responsible for checking the validity of the ID prior to game day. By checking your card, you are determining that your card is readable, that a ticket has been purchased by that cardholder, that it is the current card, and the cardholder is enrolled for Fall. Students may check their ID cards at the UGACard Office, Bulldog Bucks Office or at the UGAA Athletic Association Ticket Office.
Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure that you bring your current student ID. The magnetic stripe must be in good condition. Your valid UGA student ID is required for admittance to games-NO EXCEPTIONS.
If an ID card is lost or stolen, a new card can be obtained from the UGACard Office located in Room 309 at the Tate Student Center. ID cards are issued Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. UGACard Office is closed on Saturdays!
Any questions regarding Student ID cards can be directed to the UGACard Office at (706) 542-9226 or visit uga.edu/ugacard for more information.
The Ticket Office is not responsible for tickets or ID's that are lost, stolen, or destroyed.
Questions about ticket pricing, ticket availability, or general ticket information should be addressed to the UGA Athletic Association Ticket Office at (706) 542-1231. You must have your student ID number when calling.
Seating in the student sections are general admission. (See student sections below):
138 TO 143
109 TO 114
307 TO upper 316
Students MUST enter in Gate 1, Gate 3 or Gate 4A.
IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION:
All students must present their UGA student ID for admission to Sanford Stadium. Any attempt at fraudulent admission or use of student ID could result in disciplinary action from the university or local authorities. The UGACard Office is located in the Tate Center if you need to replace lost, stolen or damaged ID cards. The Athletic Department will communicate with students as needed through their university-issued email addresses. Please watch your email accounts for important messages from the Athletic Department as well as other campus offices.
FOOTBALL ROAD GAME INFORMATION FOR UGA STUDENTS
UGA students will be eligible to register for 2011 road game tickets following the same registration schedule used for requesting home game season tickets. Once a student logs into the ticketing system during the registration period, all eligible ticket options will be displayed for both home & away football games. For the purchasing process, credit/debit cards will not be charged for home and away tickets until the student demand for road tickets and ticket availability is determined by the Athletic Association.
All orders for home and away tickets will be processed on Wednesday, August 24th. Prior to this date, students should make sure that they have sufficient funds in their account to cover the ticket balance due for all tickets requested. The assignment of road game tickets will be based on seniority or credit hours earned at UGA. Students will receive an email at the address registered on their ticket account confirming the designation of away tickets (both recipients and non-recipients of away game tickets will receive an email from the Athletic Association).
KEY INFORMATION PERTAINING TO GEORGIA FOOTBALL AWAY GAME TICKETS:
Due to demand and limited availability, it is likely that UGA students will need to have earned approximately 77 or more UGA credit hours prior to the fall 2011 semester in order to have a realistic chance of being awarded tickets to most road games. Last year, students needed approximately 54 UGA credit hours earned in order to receive a ticket to the Florida Game (there is a larger student allotment of tickets for the Florida Game). All students (new students included) purchasing home game season tickets will be eligible to make a request for road game tickets.
Eligibility requirements for requesting road game tickets are the same as for requesting home game season tickets. Please reference the requirements under the "Requirements for Ordering Online" link that is provide on the student ticket homepage.
PICK-UP DATES FOR AWAY FOOTBALL GAME TICKETS
Each UGA student making an online ticket request for Georgia road games will receive an email by 9pm on Friday, August 26th, informing them of their day & time to claim tickets that were awarded. Please be sure to check your email account on Friday (Aug. 26) evening for your day(s) & time(s) to claim tickets.
Pick-Up Guidelines: Students will be allowed to pick-up away game tickets for themselves and 3 other people (maximum of four IDs can be carried by one student). Therefore, if a student cannot pickup his/her own tickets due to a conflict with the pickup dates/times, a friend will have the opportunity to claim the tickets on that student's behalf. Students picking up away game tickets for a friend will need the UGA Student ID of that person to claim the tickets. If the student is unable to bring the actual Student ID of the other student, a photocopy of the student's ID and driver's license will suffice (BOTH are needed if using a photocopy of ID to claim tickets). No photocopies will be accepted at the stadium gates on game day!

STUDENT DEPENDENTS
Due to the demand for Georgia Football student tickets, student dependents (spouse & children of UGA students) are NOT eligible to register for student football tickets. This is in an effort to accommodate as many UGA students as possible with student tickets. If a married student is working and cannot pick-up his/her out of town tickets on the dates provided, a student's spouse is eligible to claim the tickets with proper identification. The spouse will need the UGA Student ID card of the student and proper identification to pick-up the tickets.
DISABILITY RESOURCES:
The UGAA will make reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities who are registered for less than full time credit hours due to their disability. Please contact the Ticket Office for questions (706) 542-1231.
ENTRANCE INTO SANFORD STADIUM
A University of Georgia Student ID Card is REQUIRED for entrance into all games played at Sanford Stadium. Students without their valid UGA Student ID will be turned away from the gates at Sanford Stadium. No driver's licenses or student schedules will be accepted at the gate. Student IDs from other colleges/universities will NOT be accepted with a UGA student football ticket. Only current UGA Student IDs will be accepted!
Invalid student ID cards will be confiscated at the gate. Also, IDs will be confiscated from students attempting to pass ID cards out of the stadium to another student. Students caught engaging in this behavior will run the risk of losing the privilege to purchase student tickets to future athletic events.
Students MUST enter in Gate 1, Gate 3 or Gate 4A.
Students are encouraged to support the team by entering Sanford Stadium EARLY!
Gates will open at least 90 minutes prior to the game.
Students waiting to enter the stadium at the last minute will encounter lines at the gate and will run the risk of missing kick-off. There is NO re-entry into Sanford Stadium.
