ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia volleyball team will conclude a five-match home stand on Wednesday against Auburn before returning to the road to face Mississippi State in Starkville on Friday.
Georgia has moved to 6-10 overall and 2-4 in Southeastern Conference action after going 2-2 over the first four matches of the home stand. Auburn will come into Athens sporting an overall record of 9-7 including a 3-3 mark in SEC action.
First serve between the Bulldogs and Tigers is scheduled for 7:02 p.m. ET at the Ramsey Student Center and the match will be televised by ESPNU with Adam Amin calling the play by play and Elizabeth Moreau providing color analysis. Live stats and audio coverage will also be available on www.georgiadogs.com, and the Georgia audio can also be heard locally on 960 AM.
Wednesday's Georgia-Auburn match will be the Bulldogs "Cram the Ram" promotional event with the first 500 fans receiving Georgia Volleyball T-Shirts. Fans can also register to win raffle prizes including an iPad.
In the all-time Georgia-Auburn series, the Bulldogs lead 31-11, but the Tigers have won the last two meetings. Over the last 10 times the two schools have squared off, Georgia leads the series, 7-3.
After concluding the home stand, Georgia makes it return to the road traveling to Starkville to go up against the Mississippi State Bulldogs (8-7, 3-3 SEC0 on Friday. First serve in the battle of the SEC's Bulldogs from Newell-Grissom is slated for 8 p.m. Live stats and live video will be available through www.mstateathletics.com.
In the all-time Georgia-Mississippi State series, UGA leads 36-10. Last year, the two teams split their two meetings with MSU winning in Athens and UGA winning in Starkville. Over the last 10 meetings, UGA leads 7-3.
