ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia volleyball team wraps up its three-match road swing on Tuesday, Sept. 10, when it travels to Statesboro, Ga., to take on Georgia Southern (6-1) at 6 p.m. Gametracker and free audio coverage will be available for the match at www.georgiadogs.com. GEORGIA vs. GEORGIA SOUTHERN: Georgia owns a sparkling 11-0 record against the Georgia Southern Eagles. The teams met last season when the Bulldogs came away with a 3-1 win in the season opener. The last time that Georgia played at Georgia Southern was in 2007 when the Bulldogs took a 3-0 decision. Previous to 2007, the only other time that the Bulldogs have played a regular-season match in Statesboro was in 2000 when the Bulldogs came away with a 3-0 win.
GEORGIA'S BEST PERCENTAGE YET: The Bulldogs earned its highest attack percentage of the season in their 3-0 win over Southern Miss last Friday. Georgia finished with a season-best 50 kills and posted an attack percentage of .368. The Bulldogs have hit over .300 in each of its victories this season.
TEKNIPP WITH THE KILL: Lauren Teknipp finished with 19 kills last weekend, including 10 against No. 13 Nebraska. For the weekend, the junior hit .432, committing just three errors in 37 attempts. Teknipp leads the Bulldogs this season with 45 kills and is hitting at a .448 clip.
SPENCER'S FIRST: Megan Spencer recorded her first career kill on Saturday against No. 13 Nebraska. The redshirt freshman had not played in Georgia's previous three matches but got action against Nebraska.
WINNING IN THREE: Each of Georgia's four wins this season has come in straight sets. The Bulldogs won each of its matches during the opening weekend by a score of 3-0 and continued the streak last Friday when it took a 3-0 win over Southern Miss. The Bulldogs have not played in a match that went more than three sets this season, as their lone defeat was a 3-0 loss to No. 13 Nebraska.
