ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia volleyball team will have four of its matches televised this season. In all, the Southeastern Conference will have 18 matched broadcasted live across ESPNU, SportSouth and Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast.
"It is so exciting to have as many opportunities to be on television as we do," Head Coach Lizzy Stemke said. "These televised matches give us the chance to expose our program, our players and the sport of volleyball to both a regional and national audience. The number of matches that are aired across the different networks shows how much the sport has grown."
The Bulldogs will have one match air on ESPNU, while three more matches will be televised on CSS.
The first of three CSS televised matches will be Georgia's Oct. 13 match at Florida at 2 p.m. The following Sunday, Oct. 20, Georgia will play in front of a CSS audience at Arkansas at 2:30 p.m.
Georgia returns to Athens to play its ESPNU televised match against Kentucky in Stegeman Coliseum on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m.
Georgia will play its final televised match on Sunday, Nov. 3 when it travels to Knoxville, Tenn., to take on the Lady Vols at 2 p.m.
