ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia volleyball team will host its first and only home match of the 2013 spring season tomorrow, April 9 at 6 p.m., when it welcomes Georgia State to the Ramsey Student Center. Georgia is coming off a weekend where it went a perfect 3-0 at the Lipscomb spring tournament against teams from Southern Illinois and Lipscomb.
"These last two weekends we have been able to play a great number of matches in which we have been able to try many different lineups.,” head coach Lizzy Stemke said. “It has been great for the depth of our team to gain some great experience and this will prove to be incredibly beneficial down the road for this group. We still have much to clean up and sharpen but the teamwork has been fantastic."
Prior to this past weekend, the Bulldogs took part in the Georgia Tech Spring Tournament where it went 2-1 with wins over South Alabama and Kennesaw State before falling to Georgia Tech.
Georgia will conclude its spring season on Saturday, April 13, when it takes to the road for a match against Georgia Southern.
