Georgia To Begin Spring Season Saturday

ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia volleyball team opens its spring schedule, Saturday, March 30 at the Georgia Tech Spring Tournament in Atlanta, Ga.

The Bulldogs will take on South Alabama at 10:15 a.m., before facing Kennesaw State at 12:45 p.m. Georgia will face tournament host Georgia Tech at 3:15 p.m., in the final match of the day.

"This spring season will be a great warm up for our European trip that we will be taking in May," head coach Lizzy Stemke said. "We will have the opportunity to play a lot of games and try many different lineups and combinations which will be fantastic for the development of this group for the 2013 season."

Georgia continues its spring season when it travels to Nashville, Tenn., to take on Lipscomb and Southern Illinois next weekend.

On April 9, the Bulldogs will play hose to Georgia State at 6:30 p.m., before taking on Georgia Southern on April 13th.
