ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia volleyball program has announced the dates for the 2014 volleyball camps. There will be six sessions, with each focusing on technical and tactical training in a challenging and fun atmosphere. Campers will get to work with a highly trained and skilled staff and will practice in the Ramsey Student Center, home of the Georgia volleyball team. Registration information can be found at Participants are encouraged to register early, as space is limited.

"It is that time of year again and we are gearing up for another full line up of great training sessions for our community as we continue to develop youth volleyball in the area," Head Coach Lizzy Stemke said. "We offer beautiful facilities, great coaches and expertise in the technical and tactical side of the game, and most importantly a fun learning environment for all involved. We encourage anyone who is interested to sign up as early as possible as our camps have seen great growth over the last three years and space is limited."

The Junior Bulldog Camp will be held in the evenings of June 10-12 for campers from first to eighth graders. On June 14, there will be a one-day serving/passing camp, followed by a one-day attacker camp on June 16. Each of these camps will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is open to campers between the ages of 13-18.

Georgia will offer a Setter Academy, which will include two full days of setting technique and drills, which is scheduled July 7-8. A three-day, All Skills Camp will be held July 9-11. Each of these camps is open to players between the ages of 13-18.

A team developmental camp is the final camp of the summer and will be held July 12-14. The camp, which is designed for both JV and Varsity teams, will have four packages offered to accommodate each team and its individual needs.

The "Red" camp package ($365/player)
The "Red" package is the most inclusive residential camp package. This package covers all lodging arrangements and meals from the opening to closing of team camp.

The "Black" camp package ($350/player)
The "Black" package includes lodging and means from the opening to closing of camp, but transportation is not included.

The "White" camp package ($200/player)
The "White" camp package is designed for teams that would prefer to make their own lodging, meal and transportation arrangements.

The "Bulldog" camp package ($50/player)
The "Bulldog" camp package, which will be held July 14 only, is designed for teams that may not be able to attend the entirety of the three-day camp, but would still like to participate. This option will provide a brief instructional overview and two sessions of tournament play with team camp teams. Lunch is not provided and all players should bring their own sack lunch.

For more information, campers are asked to contact Camp Director Colleen Bayer at
