Sean Hayes joined the Athletic Association in August of 2010 as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Director. In that capacity, he oversees all aspects of the men's basketball strength and conditioning program, and he also works with the Georgia volleyball and women's golf programs.

Hayes came to Georgia after four seasons in a similar capacity with the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. Before his tenure in pro football, he had spent over a decade in college athletics. Most recently, he served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Clemson University basketball team from 2004-2006.

For over two years (2002-04) Hayes was the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the entire 41-sport program at Harvard University, with concentrated work for the Crimson's football team, both basketball teams, as well as both ice hockey squads. His other collegiate stops included the University of Tulsa, his alma mater Springfield College, Yale University and Boston University.

Hayes earned his Bachelor of Science degree in health fitness from Springfield College in 1996, then completed a Master of Education in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield in 1999.

Hayes is married to the former Susanne Esteban, and the couple has two daughters Kaylie and Ella.
