ATHENS, Ga.—Hannah King signed a national letter-of-intent and will join the Georgia women’s tennis program next fall. King trains with Brian Devilliers at Lifetime Tennis Academy.
“We’re thrilled that Hannah is going to be joining our team next year,” said head coach Jeff Wallace. “She has had an outstanding tennis career so far and she’s going to bring a great dynamic to our program for years to come.”
King received a wild card into the U.S. Open Junior Championships qualifying this year. In 2011, she played in the main draw of the U.S. Open Junior Championships in both singles and doubles, and was a finalist in multiple ITF events. King has sported a Top 100 ITF ranking, and has been ranked in the top five in her recruiting class by Tennisrecruiting.net since her freshman year.
"I'm so excited about being a part of the Georgia Bulldog family,” King said. “Between the coaching staff, the team, and the school, I know that Georgia is the perfect fit for me."
King was born in Athens and both of her parents attended UGA. She is of no relation to current Bulldog Mia King.
