#7 Georgia Returns To SEC Action At LSU Friday

ATHENS-----After posting a couple of non-conference wins last week in Athens, seventh-ranked Georgia returns to SEC action Friday against No. 56 LSU in Baton Rouge. Then on Sunday, the Bulldogs play host to No. 12 Arkansas at 1 p.m. Georgia (10-1, 4-0 SEC) is on an eight-match winning streak. 

The Tigers improved to 9-7 this past Wednesday with a pair of 6-1 wins over Colorado and Southern. It was a long day of tennis for the Tigers who captured a doubleheader. Georgia holds a 33-4 edge in the all-time series with LSU and 20-3 over Arkansas. Last year, Georgia defeated LSU 6-1 and Arkansas 5-2 in Athens. 

Kate Fuller EARNS SEC HONOR: After going a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles last week, Kate Fuller was named the SEC Freshman of the Week.
BULLDOGS IN THE ITA RANKINGS: Georgia has five players ranked among the ITA top 125 in singles and two teams in the top 50 in doubles in the latest rankings. Junior Chelsey Gullickson headlines the Bulldog contingent at No. 37, followed by fellow junior Nadja Gilchrist at No. 60. Senior Cameron Ellis is No. 76, freshman Maho Kowase is at No. 84 while freshman Lilly Kimbell is at No. 120. In doubles, thGullickson/Fuller tandem moved up to No. 9 while the Gilchrist/Kimbell combination is No. 38.
