ATHENS, Ga.--Georgia doubles tandem Kate Fuller and Silvia Garciacracked the top ten, moving up to ninth in latest ITA doubles rankings.

Fuller and Garcia are 8-0 this spring, with three wins coming against ranked opponents.

The Bulldogs are well represented in the rankings, with four singles players and three doubles pairs ranked.

In singles, sophomore Lauren Herring is ranked ninth. The Greenville, N.C. native is 24-3 this year, including 11-2 versus ranked opponents. Junior Maho Kowase, who is 22-5 this year, remains at the No 15 spot. Freshman Silvia Garcia improved to No. 97. Garcia clinched Georgia's win last Saturday against No. 24 Georgia Tech. Junior Kate Fulleris ranked No. 116. Fuller was victorious on Saturday, beating Tech's Megan Kurey 6-1, 7-6 (8-6).

In addition to Fuller and Garcia's No. 9 ranking, Kowase and junior Lilly Kimbell are ranked No. 34. Fuller is also ranked No. 21 with Herring.

Georgia is ranked seventh in the latest team rankings.

This was the first week that the ITA Division I College Tennis Rankings were based on a computer point-per-match formula.
