Georgia Recruiting Class Named No. 3 in the Nation

ATHENS, Ga.—The 2014 Georgia women’s tennis recruiting class has been ranked No. 3 in the nation by TennisRecruiting.Net, the website announced Monday. The ranking is based on votes from a panel of junior tennis experts.

Mariana Gould and Hannah King signed with the Bulldogs in the fall during the early signing period. The spring signing period begins in April.

Gould, is a native of Boise, Idaho but trains at Smith Stearns Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, S.C. She is a five-star blue chip recruit and is ranked No. 19 in the Class of 2014 according to She has been ranked as high at No. 5 in her class’s recruiting rankings.

King, who lives in nearby Dunwoody, currently trains with Brian Devilliers at Lifetime Tennis Academy. She has sported a Top 100 ITF ranking and has been ranked in the top-five in her recruiting class since her freshman year of high school.

The Bulldogs (3-0) are preparing for the 2014 ITA National Team Indoor Championships to be held this weekend in Charlottesville, Va. The Bulldogs will making their 24th appearance at the indoor championships in program history.
