ATHENS----Eighth-ranked Georgia registered a win over Tennessee by default Saturday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Due to injuries, Tennessee was unable to field a lineup to participate in today's scheduled dual match. ITA rules state that "the minimum number of players for a dual-meet match is four physically able players. A team that does not meet this minimum must forfeit the match."

“It’s unfortunate that Tennessee has so many injuries, and that's a tough situation for them to be in," said head coach Jeff Wallace. "I hope they’re able to get healthy and be ready for the SEC Tournament.”

Still on Saturday, Georgia honored its two senior All-Americans on the 2012 squad in Nadja Gilchrist and Chelsey Gullickson. Both seniors helped Georgia to the NCAA Championships including the 2009 squad that made it to the Final Four, the National Team Indoor Finals and ended the year ranked No. 3. Gilchrist and Gullickson were the first freshman duo in UGA history to play No. 1 doubles the entire year.

“Both Chelsey [Gullickson] and Nadja [Gilchrist] have had great careers at Georgia so honoring them is special,” Wallace said. “We’re looking forward to continuing our season in our two postseason tournaments.”

The Bulldogs (19-3, 9-2 SEC) will return to action at the SEC Tournament next week in Oxford, Miss.
