GEORGIA vs. UAB: Georgia leads the all-time series with UAB 8-2. The two teams have faced off twice this season, as UAB participated in the Bulldog Invitational earlier this year. The Blazers took the first game 8-0, before Georgia bounced back with a 10-1 victory in the second game. This will be the second time that Georgia and UAB have met in the postseason. The Blazer made the trip to Athens for the 2011 Athens Regional when the Bulldogs posted 9-2 win.

GEORGIA vs. NC STATE: Georgia owns a 2-1 all-time record against the NC State Wolfpack. The Bulldogs handed NC State an 8-0, five-inning loss earlier this season when the teams faced off in Orlando, Fla., during the Citrus Classic.

GEORGIA IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT: The Bulldogs are making their 13th-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Georgia enters the tournament as the No. 4 National Seed and owns a 46-24 record in the NCAA Tournament.

No. 4 NATIONAL SEED: The Bulldogs were selected as the No. 4 National Seed for the NCAA Tournament. The No. 4 seed is the highest ever for a Bulldog team, besting the previous best of No. 6, which Georgia has earned three times. It is the first national seed for the Bulldogs since 2012, when they were named the 10 seed.

MVP: Chelsea Wilkinson was named the SEC Tournament MVP after going 3-0 during the event last week. She threw all but 1.1 innings for the Bulldogs during the tournament, allowing just three runs on nine hits. She also struck out 23 batters and walked just two in 19.2 innings in the circle.

VS. RANKED TEAMS: With its win over Kentucky in the tournament final, the Bulldogs improved to 13-7 against ranked teams this year. Georgia faced three ranked opponents in the SEC Tournament, including two ranked in the top 10. In top-10 match ups this season, the Bulldogs are 6-2.
