BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Maya Branch has been named to the 2013 Southeastern Conference Softball Community Service Team, it was announced today by the league office. Branch has served the Athens community in many different ways since arriving on campus. She as served as a mentor for Timothy Road Elementary School for the past two years, volunteering ever week in the fall and at least twice a month during the spring.

Last fall, she spent every Saturday volunteering at the East Friendship Baptist Church soup kitchen feeding the homeless. She has also participated in S.O.A.R (Special Olympics Annual Run at Hilsman Middle School) for the past three years.
