It is the first honor weekly honor for Wilkinson and the second time a Georgia player has been awarded a weekly honor this season. It also marks the first time since 2010 that a Georgia pitcher has earned SEC Pitcher of the Week honors.

Wilkinson went 2-0 with a pair of complete-game wins as Georgia swept No. 10/11 Kentucky in the final regular season series of the season. She struck out 18 batters and walked just three batters in 14 innings in the circle for the Bulldogs. Her two wins ran her record to 26-7 on the year, putting her in a tie for the most wins by an SEC pitcher this season. She now has 28 complete game performances this season.
