Georgia (40-7, 14-6 SEC) welcomes Kennesaw State (28-22) tonight for its final game against an in-state opponent this season. The Bulldogs have defeated Georgia Tech twice, 10-2 in Athens and 10-8 in Atlanta, and defeated Georgia Southern, 4-1 in Athens. A ceremony officially dedicating the University of Georgia Jack Turner Softball Stadium will take place prior to tonight's game as well. A reception for the dedication of the Jack Turner Softball Stadium, named for the late Jack Turner thanks in part to gifts from himself and his son Jimmy Turner, will take place at 5:30 p.m. with the dedication ceremony and ribbon-cutting at 6:15 p.m. followed by the game. Admission is free.
After hosting the midweek tilt, Georgia returns to the road and SEC play by traveling to Auburn for a three-game series.
