ATHENS, Ga. - The No. 14/14 Georgia softball team is set to face No. 15/18 Texas A&M this weekend, March 21-23, in Southeastern Conference action in College Station, Texas. The Bulldogs enter the weekend with an overall record of 26-2 that includes a 3-0 mark in SEC play. Texas A&M is 22-7 on the year and 3-3 in league action.

Georgia Gets Sweep of No. 13 Texas A&M with 6-3 Win
Morgan Montemayor picked up her second win in as many games as the University of Georgia softball team completed a sweep of the No. 13/13 Texas A&M Aggies with a 6-3 win on Sunday, April 21 at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Ga. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 34-15 on the season, including an 11-7 mark in the Southeastern Conference. Texas A&M dropped to 35-12 overall and 6-11 in league play. The sweep is the third SEC series sweep for the Bulldogs this season.

GEORGIA vs. TEXAS A&M: Georgia leads the series with Texas A&M 7-1. The teams met three times last year, Texas A&M's first year in the SEC, with the Bulldogs taking all three matchups against the 13th-ranked Aggies. 

Notes
GEORGIA'S BEST START: Georgia is off to its best start in program history at 26-2. The Bulldogs bested the previous best of 25-2, set in 2002, with its 5-1 win over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday.

11 IN A ROW: Georgia has won each of its last 11 games, which is the longest current winning streak of any SEC team. The streak started with a 10-1, five-inning win over UAB on March 2. During the streak, the Bulldogs have out scored their opponents 64-15. The streak also ties for the 10th longest winning streak in program history. 

THREE HOME RUN GAME: Georgia hit three home runs in its 5-1 win over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday. Alex Hugo hit her team-leading 12th home run, while Paige Wilson hit her sixth homer of the year. Katie Browne got in on the action, recording her second home run in 2014. 

HUGO IS CLUTCH: For the fourth game in a row, it was Hugo who came up big for the Bulldogs. Trailing 1-0 after three innings, Hugo launched a solo home run to center field to tie the game at 1-1. It was the fourth game in a row that Hugo has hit the game tying or game winning home run.

BROWNE: Browne recorded two hits in Georgia's 5-1 win over Gardner Webb on Wednesday. She drove in the go-ahead run in the fourth with a RBI-single to left. She also gave Georgia an insurance run in the sixth with a solo home run to down the left field line that made it a 4-1 game. It was her second home run of the season.
