ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia Bulldogs remained ranked at No. 1 in the latest USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday.
Georgia (17-1) earned 20 first place votes and 731 points to earn the top spot in the poll for a third-straight week. The remainder of the top five stayed the same as well with fellow Southeastern Conference teams Florida (19-0) and Alabama (20-1) at second and third, respectively. Arizona (19-2) remains at No. 4, and Washington (16-0) is fifth.
Georgia returns to action this weekend when it opens SEC play at Jack Turner Stadium against No. 21 LSU. The Bulldogs and Tigers will play a three-game series Friday through Sunday.
