ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia softball team will have five games televised during the 2013 season, it was announced today by the Southeastern Conference. ESPN and ESPNU will carry one game each, while Fox Sports Net will televise one game and CSS will broadcast two contests.
Fox Sports Net will televise Georgia’s April 7 matchup against Tennessee, a rematch of the 2012 Knoxville Super Regional. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
ESPNU and CSS will be on hand when the Bulldogs travel to Gainesville, Fla., to take on Florida. ESPNU will televise the Saturday, April 27 game and CSS will air the Sunday, April 28 game. Both contests are slated to start at noon.
Two of Georgia’s games against LSU will be televised, with CSS carrying the Saturday, May 4 game and ESPN broadcasting the Sunday, May 5 matchup. Saturday’s game will begin at 1 p.m., and Sunday’s will start at 3 p.m.
In addition to regular season action, fans can watch the SEC Tournament on ESPNU and ESPN2. Fans will also be able to access the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts through WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN mobile app.
Georgia begins its 2013 campaign this Friday when it welcomes Elon, Ohio State and Winthrop to Athens, Ga., for the Sixth Annual Red and Black Showcase.
