KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--After forcing a game three on the final day of the Knoxville Super Regional, the No. 10 overall seed University of Georgia softball team fell 2-1 in the final game of the season to the No. 7 overall seed Tennessee Lady Volunteers.

Georgia finishes the 2012 season with a 45-17 record, the 11th time that the Bulldogs have reached 40 or more wins in a season, all of which have come under the leadership of Head Coach Lu Harris-Champer. Tennessee will move on the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City with a 52-12 record to face Alabama on Thursday.

Game Two-Georgia 1, Tennessee 0

Georgia rebounded from Saturday's loss to force a deciding game three in the Knoxville Super Regional with a 1-0 win.

Senior Erin Arevalo gave up just two hits to earn the complete-game win. Ellen Renfroe suffered the loss to drop to 27-4 on the year after allowing one unearned run on three hits and pair of walks.

Georgia took the first shot of the game by going up 1-0 in the bottom third. Junior Macie Couey singled down toward third base before advancing to second after a junior Tess Sito hit by pitch. Couey was then allowed to score off of a Lady Vol fielding error at senior Ashley Pauly's turn at bat.

The Bulldogs looked to add some insurance in the bottom of the fourth, as junior Christine Olney hit a two-out double to right center and freshman Niaja Grffin drew a walk. The duo was left stranded as the final batter grounded out to end the inning.

Tennessee's best chance came in the top of the sixth when Kat Dotson led off with a single down the right field line and moved to second on sacrifice bunt. Shelby Burchell reached on an error that put runners at first and second with one away. Arevalo caught Lauren Gibson swinging and got Melissa Brown to ground out to second.

Game Three- Tennessee 2, Georgia 1

The Lady Vols used a two-run sixth inning after going scoreless for 14 innings against the Bulldogs to take the final win of the Super Regional 2-1.

Arevalo finished her senior season with a 27-9 record, as she gave up five hits with three strikeouts. UT's Ivy Renfroe moved to 25-8 on the season after allowing three hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

After four and a half scoreless innings, Georgia took a 1-0 lead after freshman Gracie Goulder scored on a wild pitch. The Arizona native reached on a full-count walk before moving to second on a groundout. With a wild pitch putting Goulder on third, a 13-pitch at-bat for Sito resulted in a strikeout, but the last pitch would get beyond the catcher to allow the run.

UT sealed the win in the top of the sixth after back-to-back singles from Raven Chavanne and Gibson with one out opened the inning. Madison Shipman followed with a fielder's choice to load the bases with Burchell's RBI-single tying the game. A sacrifice fly from to left from Dotson set the score at 2-1.
