ATHENS, Ga. - University of Georgia head softball coach Lu Harris-Champer earned her 750th collegiate victory on Sunday as the fourth-ranked Bulldogs defeated the Ole Miss Rebels, 3-2, in front of a Jack Turner Stadium crowd of 1,412.

With the win, Georgia completed a Southeastern Conference series sweep over Ole Miss to improve to 39-6 on the year and 14-5 in league play. Ole Miss dropped to 14-33 overall and 3-17 in conference action.

Harris-Champer, in her 15th season as a collegiate head coach, now holds a record of 750-251-1 including a 541-187 mark in 11 seasons at the helm of the Bulldogs.

Ole Miss picked up the first run on Sunday in the top of the first only to see Georgia answer in the bottom half of the frame. The Rebels' run scored unearned as Londen Ladner drew a two-out walk, moved to third on a single from Brittany Barnhill and scored when Natalie Nimmo reached on a Georgia error. In the bottom of the inning, the Bulldogs' loaded the bases with one out for junior Ashley Razey, who drove in the tying run on an infield single to shortstop.

The contest remained tied at 1-1 until the sixth. In the top half of the frame, the Rebels went up 2-1 on a two-out, solo home run to left from Ladner. However, the Bulldogs answered in their half of the frame with a two-run home run from junior Brittney Hubbard to right that put UGA up 3-2. The home run, Hubbard's third this season, followed a one-out walk from junior Kristyn Sandberg.

From the circle, both team's pitchers worked complete games. Georgia sophomore Alison Owen (13-2) earned the win after giving up just hits and one walk while striking out nine, and Ole Miss starter Kendall Bruning (2-16) took the loss after issuing five hit and six walks while striking out six.

Up next, Georgia welcomes Georgia Southern to Athens on Wednesday. First pitch between the Bulldogs and Eagles is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
