Named 2001 Dekalb County Player of the Year by the Dekalb Neighbor. Member of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution All-County team in 1998-2001. Named to the 2000 All-State Second Team. Receive numerous team awards including 1998 Rookie of the Year, 1999 offensive player of the year, 2000 and 2001 team MVP. Had high school batting average of .767. Club team advacnced to the ASA Gold Nationals in 2001 and to the ASA and NSA Nationals in 2000.
