Georgia Soccer Named NSCAA Academic Team

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team has been named a 2011-12 Academic Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), the organization announced Nov. 15.

The award is the 10th in a row for the Bulldog program and the third under head coach Steve Holeman. In order to qualify, teams must maintain at least a 3.0 grade-point average for the entire academic year.

A total of 787 teams (568 women, 219 men) were honored, including 13 from the Southeastern Conference.
