ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team concluded the 2013 regular season Thursday evening and learned shortly after that it finished sixth in the conference heading into next week’s SEC Championships in Orange Beach, Ala.

With an overall record of 12-6-1 and a league ledger of 5-5-1, Georgia is the No. 6 seed and will receive a first round bye into Wednesday’s quarterfinal round. The Bulldogs will meet No. 3 South Carolina on Nov. 6 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The No. 7-10 seeds will play their first round games on Monday to kick off the action.

Georgia earned a 2-0 win over the Gamecocks earlier this season in the conference opener in Athens on Sept. 20.

Georgiadogs.com will offer live audio coverage and the Georgia Soccer Live Blog for the entirety of the team’s stay at the tournament. The Bulldogs are in search of their first SEC title, while the winner also secures an automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Championships.
