This is the best time of year for us, and this is a highly anticipated season. We have a core group of players returning and an exciting freshman class coming in that we think will contribute right away and help us out. Monday can’t get here fast enough.”
Georgia will take on The Citadel in exhibition on Fri., Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. at home before opening the regular season on the road against Texas and Houston Aug. 23 and 25, respectively.
The 2013 Bulldogs return six regular starters and 15 letterwinners from last season, including first team All-South Region and second team All-SEC defender Torri Allen and the team’s leading offensive player from 2012 in senior Nicole Locandro. Additionally, the squad welcomes 15 newcomers, including two Gatorade high school state players of the year in incoming freshmen Marion Crowder (Mississippi) and Rachel Garcia (Georgia).
Meanwhile, Holeman is just four wins shy of 200 for his career.
