ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team will conclude its 2014 spring campaign on Thursday night when it takes on in-state rival Georgia State at 7:30 p.m. in neutral-site action in Conyers.
The Bulldogs most recently posted a thrilling 7-6 win over a collection of alumni last weekend, and are 4-2 on the spring – including a victory over perennial NCAA Tournament participant Wake Forest on March 29.
Georgia is coming off a 12-7-1 record last fall, going 5-5-1 in conference play and reaching the quarterfinals of the SEC Championships.
Fifth-year head coach Steve Holeman has announced a 12-member incoming class that has been ranked No. 10 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC. Three of those players are already on campus and competing with the team. The group will bolster a returning roster of three seniors, six juniors, and 15 sophomores from 2013.
