Bulldog Signee Called Into U-18 National Camp

ATHENS, Ga. --- University of Georgia soccer incoming freshman Marion Crowder has been invited to participate in the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team’s second training camp of the year, the organization announced April 1.

The event is set for April 10-17 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.  A total of 24 players were called in to camp by technical director April Heinrichs.

Crowder, a midfielder/forward from Madison, Miss., attends Madison High School and played her club soccer for the Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi. She was a member of the ODP Region III team from 2009-12 and was team captain in 2012. She was her high school team’s leading scorer for four straight years and was named to the Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100 for the class as well as ESPN’s Top 150.

Crowder and her camp teammates born on or after Jan. 1, 1994 are eligible to compete in the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada.
