ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team officially began spring practice this week, getting underway with formal training as a group on Monday at the Turner Soccer Complex.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 12-7-1 season with a 5-5-1 record in Southeastern Conference play, and reached the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
Georgia earlier this month announced the No. 10-ranked signing class in the nation, welcoming nine new players for the 2014 season – including three who are already on campus and will compete this spring. The incoming class will bolster a returning group of three seniors, six juniors, and 15 sophomores from last season.
The squad opens the spring schedule on Sat., March 1 at 12 p.m. on the road at border rival Clemson. Stay tuned to Georgiadogs.com for an announcement of the full spring slate later this week.
