ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team’s 2014 signing class has been ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 3 in the Southeastern Conference by TopDrawerSoccer.com, it was announced on Friday.
Within the SEC, the Bulldogs have the third highest-ranked class behind only No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Texas A&M.
“This is another great day for Georgia soccer," said head coach Steve Holeman after officially releasing the class on Thursday. “This group of players is very talented, athletic and dynamic. They all love to compete and will provide incredible balance and depth to a core group of returners. They will make us better right away and we are excited to welcome them to the Bulldog family.”
Three members of the group – Maddie Burdick, Natalie Goodman, and Rebecca Rasmussen – have already enrolled and are on campus. The class includes four players ranked in the Girls' IMG Academy 150 by Top Drawer, fourth-most of any school in the nation: Rasmussen (31), Goodman (47), Burdick (59), and Delaney Fechalos (110). Burdick also has international playing experience with the U.S. U-15s.
