ATHENS, Ga. --- For the second straight year the Georgia soccer team won its 7v7 Tournament at the UGA Soccer Stadium, as the squad posted an overall record of 5-0 on the day and defeated in-state rival Kennesaw State, 6-0, in the championship match.

Georgia moved out of the morning's round robin portion with three wins coming against North Georgia, Valdosta State, and Mercer by a combined margin of 20-4. The Bulldogs then faced Clayton State in the first semifinal, registering a 4-1 win there, before moving on to meet KSU - the winner of the other group's semi. The Owls had defeated Armstrong Atlantic, 3-1.
