Bulldogs Beat Alumni On Saturday Morning

ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia soccer team posted a narrow 7-6 win over a collection of former players on Saturday morning at the UGA Soccer Stadium in the program's annual Alumni Game.

Georgia and the former Bulldogs were tied at 2-2 at the intermission - playing 30-minute halves - before the current squad pulled away in the second frame. The Bulldogs were led by a hat trick for rising sophomore Rachel Garcia, while Mackin D'Amico, Carli Shultis, Hannah Edwards, and Taylor Donohue also scored goals on the day.

Madeline Barker - who was a senior for UGA in 2013 - scored three goals to lead the Alumni side, while Susannah Dennis ('12) scored two and Nicole Locandro ('13) had one.

The win moved the Bulldogs to 4-2 on the spring exhibition season, with one game remaining this Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. vs. Georgia State in Conyers.
