Gym Dogs Honored At Banquet
Laura Moffatt claimed the Clutch Performance of the Year Award for the second straight season.

ATHENS-----The Georgia gymnastics team was honored at the team's annual Ten-O Club Banquet Saturday night at the UGA Tate Student Center. The Gym Dogs qualified for the NCAA Championships for the 28th time in 2012, and senior Kat Ding claimed NCAA titles on the uneven bars and floor exercise.

Ding, who also finished as the national runner-up in the all-around, was named the Coaches' MVP, while Noel Couch was awarded the overall MVP. Couch competed in the all-around in all 14 meets this season.

Ding was also the winner of the Suzanne Yoculan No Dream Too Big Award. The Clutch Performance of the Year Award went to sophomore Laura Moffatt for the second straight year, who tied a career-high with a 9.9 on the balance beam after a lengthy delay at the NCAA Prelims.  Sophomore Bekah Bennetts was the recipient of the Sam Sheehan Spirit Award.

Junior Shayla Worley and freshman Camille Pfister shared the team's Scholar-Athlete Award, junior Kati Breazeal was awarded the Catalyst Impact Award, and Ding was named recipient of the Kathy McMinn Consistency Award.
