In the team event rankings, Georgia remained at No. 2 on the balance beam with a 49.144 average and moved up to No. 4 on bars (49.194). The Gym Dogs are tied for seventh on vault (49.206) and are 11th on floor (48.975). UGA posted season-highs on all four events in the win over LSU.
Individually, four Gym Dogs are ranked in the top-10 on three events. On beam, Shayla Worley is tied for fourth with a 9.875 average, and Chelsea Davis is tied for seventh with a 9.863. Gina Nuccio is ranked seventh on bars (9.875), and Kat Ding is No. 8 on vault (9.906).
All rankings are currently based on average scores. Beginning Feb. 27, rankings will be based on a team’s Regional Qualifying Score, which uses the six best regular season scores, of which three must be away. To obtain the RQS, the high score is eliminated and the remaining five are averaged.
Georgia will face top-ranked Utah Friday in Salt Lake City.
