Froelich, Nicholls Among Top Five Individuals At Stanford

Stanford, Calif. --- Natalia Nicholls fired a 1-under 71 to pace the 12th-ranked Georgia women's golf team to a season-best tally of 296 in the second round of the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate on Saturday. Freshman Kelly Froelich, who shot 73 on Saturday, and Nicholls are fourth and fifth individually entering Sunday's final round. Through 36 of 54 holes, Froelich is at even-par 144, two strokes off the lead, while Nicholls is 1-over.

The Lady Bulldogs are fifth in the team field, 10 strokes off Washington's lead.

Georgia received additional counting rounds from Summer Sirmons, who shot 75, and Lisa Tyler, who carded a 77. Jackie Beers shot 80. In the individual field, Sirmons is tied for 37th at 154, Tyler is tied for 61st at 158 and Beers is tied for 66th at 159.
