ATHENS, Ga. --- Two home events and tournaments from coast-to-coast headline the 2014-15 schedule for the University of Georgia women's golf team, which was announced Friday by head coach Josh Brewer.

The Bulldogs' regular-season slate features four fall events and six spring tournaments before the SEC Championships, NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships.

"I think we have one of the top-10 schedules in the country once again," Brewer said. "We have a chance to compete on some great golf courses, not only in the Southeast but also from the West Coast to the Northeast. That should help prepare us for the post-season."

Georgia will open the campaign in the one-day Cardinal Kickoff on Sept. 7 at Chariot Run Golf Club in Laconia, Ind. The remainder of the Bulldogs' fall campaign includes the College of Charleston's Cougar Classic on Sept. 14-16, Northwestern's Windy City Collegiate Championships on Oct. 6-7 and the Stanford Intercollegiate on Oct. 17-19.

The spring season begins with the third annual Lady Bulldog Invitational, a one-day, 36-hole event at the UGA Golf Course on Feb. 7. Georgia then treks to the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Feb. 15-17, the Bruin Wave Invitational in Tarzana, Calif., on March 2-3 and the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on March 6-8 before returning to host the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on March 27-29.

As previously announced, the 42nd annual Liz Murphey Collegiate will feature stellar field competing in a combination of stroke play and match play similar to the format that will be used at the 2015 NCAA Championships. The Liz Murphey field will feature schools that have combined to win 13 of the last 15 national championships.

"The University of Georgia Golf Course is known as one of the best university golf courses in the country," Brewer said. "We're excited about hosting two events again this season. The combination of the golf course, the name 'Liz Murphey' attached to our event and the format we'll play again make it one of college golf's marquee events of the spring."

Georgia will wrap up the regular season by competing in Seton Hall's Pirate Invitational at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, N.J., on April 2-3.

The SEC Championships will be contested from April 17-19 at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., for the third straight year.

NCAA Regional competition will expand from three to four sites in 2015. Regionals will be held May 7-9 in Raleigh, N.C.; South Bend, Ind.; San Antonio, Texas; and St. George, Utah. The top six teams from each Regional will advance to the NCAA Championships on May 22-27 at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.
