NESHANIC STATION, N.J. --- Georgia's Emilie Burger lost her second-round match at the 36th annual U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship on Thursday, dropping a 4 & 3 decision to Ashlan Ramsey or Milledgeville, Ga.

Ramsey moved to 2-up with birdies at No. 4 and No. 7 and gained another stroke when Burger bogeyed No. 7. The score remained at 3-up for four holes before Ramsey moved to 4-up at No. 13.

Burger birdied No. 13 to regain a stroke but Ramsey then won No. 15 to regain a 4-up lead with three holes remaining.

On the day, Burger played 15 holes at 2-over.

Burger will return to action next month as a member of the United States team that will compete in the World University Golf Championships at Ypsilon Golf Resort in Liberec, Czech Republic on July 4-7.
