HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. --- No. 14 Georgia shot 307 in Sunday's final round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club to finish 10th in the 54-hole event at 914.
Kailey Walsh led Georgia in the final round and overall, shooting 4-over 75 and tying for 22nd place at 233. Emilie Burger also carded a 75. The Bulldogs other two counters were a 78 from Manuela Carbajo Ré and a 79 by Rocio Sanchez Lobato.
Overall, Carbajo Ré tied for 36th at 228, Burger tied for 39th at 229, Sanchez Lobato tied for 51st at 233 and Collins Bradshaw, who shot 88 on Sunday, finished 80th at 260.
The Bulldogs got off to a slow start, playing the first three holes at 11-over. Georgia steadied and covered the next 13 holes at 4-over but then gave away a combined eight more strokes on each golfer's final two holes.
No. 4 Alabama captured the team title at 876, four shot better than both No. 11 Vanderbilt and LSU. Arizona State's Noemi Jimenez was the individual medalist, closing with a 3-under 68 to finish at 4-under 209. Second-round leader Madelene Sangstrom of LSU was second, four shots back.
Georgia will return to action in two weeks when the Bulldogs compete in the LSU Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La.
