Harang Lee posted her second par-or-better round of the spring on Tuesday.

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Led by an even-par 72 from freshman Harang Lee, the Georgia women's golf team posted a 7-over 295 in Tuesday's final round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn Golf & Country Club. The Bulldogs finished 14th in the team field at 891.
Georgia's remaining counting scores came in the form of a pair of 74s from Manuela Carbajo Ré and Rocio Sanchez Lobato and a 75 from Sammi Lee. Amira Alexander's 77 was the Bulldogs' drop score.
"We had five pretty solid rounds of golf today," head coach Josh Brewer. "We're getting the type of rounds that we need for the most part, but when you're playing against a field like this, you have to have someone go out shoot 67 or 68 to make up any ground and all."
Nine top-25 and four top-10 teams were competing against the Bulldogs in New Orleans.
Harang Lee teed off from No. 12 with Tuesday's shotgun start and made the "turn" at 18 2-under after birdies at No. 15 and No. 18. She bogeyed No. 1 to give back one of those strokes but birdied No. 2 to get back to 2-under. Successive bogeys at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 pushed Lee over par for the first time on the day; however, she rallied with a birdie at No. 8 before closing with a trio of pars.
"At one point today, I think through about 11 holes, we had three people under par and the second-best team score of the day," Brewer said. "I thought we'd played the toughest part of the golf course, but we weren't able to finish it. We have to learn how to go out and finish out those rounds."
Holes No. 4-6 were extremely costly for Georgia, as the Bulldogs covered that stretch 6-over as a team.
No. 2 UCLA captured the team title after closing with a 7-under 291 to finish at 843, six shots better than top-ranked Southern Cal. Auburn's Marta Sanz fired a 4-under 68 to earn medalist honors at 6-under 208, a stroke better than first-round leader Tonje Daffinrud of Denver.
Georgia will return to action next weekend when the Bulldogs participate in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C., on Match 7-9.
