ATHENS, Ga. – Jordan Heithold has signed a National Letter of Intent to ride for the Georgia equestrian team beginning in the 2014-15 season, Head Coach Meghan Boening announced. A Shelby, N.C., native, Heithold is the daughter of Richard and Leah Heithold and has one brother, Taylor.
“Jordan has been very successful in the show ring in the southeast,” Assistant Coach Lisa Anderson said. “She has the drive and tenacity to be a great competitor and we look forward to adding her to our team!"
A four-year USEF High School Equestrian Athlete at Laurel Springs High School, Heithold brings several years of experience with her to Georgia. In 2013, she was named the SCHJA Equitation Champion, the GHJA Equitation Reserve Champion and the SCHJA Low Junior Jumper Reserve Champion. In 2012, Heithold was the NCHJA and SCHJA High Point Champion in Equitation and the recipient of the Amy Gabriel Memorial Trophy and the Final Appeal Age Group Equitation Trophy.
Heithold also finished third in the SC Governor’s Cup Finals and participated in the Maclay Regionals, the USEF/Pessoa Finals, USEF Talent Search Finals and the WIHS Equitation Finals.
