ATHENS, Ga. - The Georgia equestrian team maintained its number four ranking in the latest Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll, which was released Wednesday. The Bulldogs, who received 66 points, own a 3-1 record this year, with each win coming against a ranked opponent.
Auburn, which travels to Bishop, Ga., this Friday, remained No. 1, with former Georgia opponent Texas A&M ranked second. Oklahoma State came in at No.4, followed by Baylor at No. 5.
Following its 11-9 loss to Georgia last weekend, South Carolina fell to sixth. Kansas State, New Mexico State, TCU and SMU rounded out the top 10.
Fresno State, UT-Martin and South Dakota State also received votes in this week's poll.
Georgia will take on No. 1 Auburn this Friday at 2 p.m. at the Georgia Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Ga. Admission is free.
