ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia freshman Morgan Justiss won the novice showmanship title at the 44th All American Quarter Horse Congress over the weekend at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio. She also finished sixth in both 16-18 showmanship and NYATT showmanship.

Justiss took home the championship after outscoring 146 exhibitors to win her elite class.

"We are very excited for Morgan," assistant head coach Mary Meneely said. "We wish all of the Georgia riders the best and hope the winning ways continue for each of them."

Justiss will join teammate and fellow freshman Gillian Chant, a two-time world champion, and highly decorated junior Maria Salazar at the Congress this year.

The Quarter Horse Congress is the world's largest single-breed horse show, with over 17,000 entries at this year's show. The Congress runs Oct. 7-30 and holds 19 different competitions for horses and riders.
