WACO, Texas - Georgia equestrian Paige Stawicki has been added to the participant roster for the 2013 American Quarter Horse Association Horsemanship Challenge. The Challenge is set for November 20-21 as part of the AQHA Amateur World Show in Oklahoma City, Okla. The preliminaries take place Wednesday, November 20, with the finals taking place the evening of November 21.
Stawicki finished the season with a 9-5 record with one MOP honor. She averaged a score of 73.1 and defeated her opponents by an average of 1.5 points. She posted a season-best score of 79.5 against UT-Martin and followed that performance with a score of 77 at Texas A&M. Stawicki went 2-0 at the NCEA Championship with wins over her opponents from Texas A&M and Kansas State.
Stawicki will be one of eight NCEA riders to representing eight different institutions who will participate in the event. All riders will be current student-athletes during the 2013-14 season and were selected using 2012-13 individual statistics for Horsemanship.
Stawicki will join Kelly Bovaird (Kansas State), Erin Gillette (TCU), Molli Jacbos (Texas A&M), Katy Krshka (Oklahoma State), Johnna Letchworth (South Carolina), Parris Rice (Baylor) and Stephanie Rucci (Auburn) at the event in Oklahoma City, Okla.
